New and Improved: GemSpot is Back!
Leading concierge app expands to offer event planning in addition to food and gift delivery services in the Klang Valley.
As a leading concierge app in Malaysia, GemSpot has been growing in popularity among users in the Klang Valley. Via the mobile app, users can order food and gifts for delivery, while also securing table bookings at fine dining establishments.
And in 2022, users will be able to enjoy the app’s expanded services into event planning, as well as place orders both via the mobile app and by accessing the website via Internet browser.
Brand new: ‘Add-to-cart’ Party Planning
In 2022, users will be able to plan entire events with a few simple clicks, as easily as an online shopping transaction.
By partnering with several event and entertainment spaces, GemSpot will offer venue rental, food and beverage options, and even decoration setup for users to plan their own events.
First, users will be able to ‘Plan a Party’ in just three steps: choosing their own preferred venue, menu and décor, then simply checking out their order, as simple as a shopping transaction. Some venues will even offer different-sized rooms to suit varying budgets and larger or smaller groups, and various entertainment options such as karaoke, digital beer pong tables, and more. Once a venue has been selected, users can further customise their menus to cater to different preferences or dietary requirements of their guests, by browsing through the menu offered by the venue, and selecting as many meal items and drinks as preferred. Finally, for those special occasions or surprise parties, users can opt to have the space set up with balloons and decorations beforehand.
For users who prefer to take the guesswork out of the selection process, entire curated bundle packages that readily include venue, menu and décor will also be available on the platform.
Delivery orders: Now on website and app
Previously, GemSpot users could only place orders via the mobile app. However, with the relaunch of the platform, GemSpot 2.0 will allow users to place orders via the website for all services including table reservation, delivery, and with an added self-collection option.
This will allow more users to place orders on GemSpot, and any users facing any possible complications for using the mobile phone app (no space for new apps, unable to update the app, etc) can simply access the site via browser including from their computers or other devices.
New and classic services, with benefits
As a platform that is proud to support Malaysian businesses, GemSpot boasts a unique merchant list featuring party planners and event spaces, artisanal gift makers, bakers, florists, and of course a wide variety of local eateries including hawker stalls, coffee cafes, fine dining, local and international cuisine, and more.
By bringing together such an impressive list of services for the inhabitants of the Klang Valley, food-lovers are spoiled for choice for delivery orders way beyond the usual fast-food fare; gifting orders for items like cakes, flowers, and balloon bouquets can be fully personalised; and in the era of living in a pandemic where eating out isn’t as simple as it used to be, users can easily secure a table at their favourite fine dining outlets including hotels and upscale restaurants.
GemSpot users also automatically benefit from the loyalty programme. By completing orders, leaving reviews, and other actions, users earn points that can be used to redeem rewards and level up their membership status for more privileges.
As the platform continues to grow with more merchants and more enhanced services along with eventually expanding to areas outside the Klang Valley, GemSpot aims to make its mark as a tech company that helps businesses reach a wider customer base, while providing users with the convenience of lifestyle services.
As always, GemSpot users can look forward to discount codes, festive promotions and even giveaways via the platform’s social media pages.
The event planning options will soon be available on the new and improved GemSpot 2.0, which will be accessible via both website and app! Check back soon to see the new look and upgraded services.
In the meantime, the team at GemSpot wishes you a Happy Chinese New Year and a wonderful year ahead.
